Stripe Connect & bank account setup
All publisher payments on Publicit are processed through Stripe Connect β Stripe's platform for paying businesses and individuals. Your bank account is connected and managed through Stripe directly.
Why Stripe Connect?
Stripe Connect handles everything related to your payouts:
Security β your bank details are stored and managed by Stripe, not Publicit
Compliance β Stripe handles KYC (Know Your Customer) identity verification required by financial regulations
Speed β fast, reliable transfers to bank accounts across Europe and beyond
Transparency β full transaction history and tax documentation available directly in Stripe
Setting up your bank account
Stripe Connect onboarding happens during your account setup (see Publisher account setup). If you need to update your bank account or add a new one:
Go to Dashboard β Earnings.
In your Stripe dashboard, navigate to Payout settings or Bank accounts.
Add or update your bank account details:
Account holder name (must match your business registration exactly)
IBAN (for European accounts)
BIC/SWIFT code
Bank name
Save and verify.
The account holder name must exactly match the name registered on your Publicit account. Mismatches can cause payment delays or failures. Contact [email protected] if you encounter a name mismatch issue.
Supported countries and currencies
Stripe Connect supports publishers in most European countries. Payouts are made in the local currency of your bank account (EUR for most European publishers).
For publishers outside the main European markets, contact [email protected] to confirm availability in your country before registering.
Identity verification
Stripe requires identity verification for all connected accounts receiving payouts. This is a regulatory requirement (anti-money laundering compliance), not a Publicit policy.
Verification is completed during the Stripe onboarding flow and typically requires:
A government-issued ID (passport or national ID card)
Business registration details (for company accounts)
Proof of address (for some countries)
Verification is usually completed within a few hours of submission.
Tax documentation
If you need tax documentation for your earnings (for accounting or tax filing purposes), this is available directly in your Stripe dashboard under Tax forms or Documents. Stripe generates year-end tax summaries for your records.
For Spanish publishers, Stripe supports the documentation requirements for Modelo 303 and other reporting obligations.
Changing your bank account
To change your payout bank account:
Go to Dashboard β Earnings β Payout settings in Stripe.
Add the new bank account.
Set it as the default payout account.
Verify the new account if required.
Changes take effect for the next payout you initiate.
